Brian is documenting a mystery---a hybrid between
Sarracenia leucophylla and Sarracenia flava var.
rugelii. Yet, despite walking every square foot of Splinter Hill, Keith has never
seen any variety of Sarracenia flava on the property!
Crazy! Did Sarracenia flava become locally extinct? Did
Keith just overlook something? Or is there a population off the preserve,
but within the flight distance of a very muscular bee?
