Red plant!
Phill drove us to to a quiet road bordering on a large flat area covered with grasses and other short plants. During the summer months this site is completely dry, but during the winter it is more like a vast vernal pool, with a scattering of Melaleuca trees and shrubby Leptospermum. And here you can see a beautiful, intensely red Drosera rosulata.

(Don't get distracted by any other Drosera in this image. We will get to them soon enough.)
