Trilobite!
Birding in the panhandle is difficult. Sure, we saw a couple of cool birds that day, but they were surprisingly far between.

The tide was low, and as it was nearly full moon the spring tide exposed oceanic wonders like the horseshoe crab. Did you know that there are only four species of horseshoe crab in the entire world? The one above is Limulus polyphemus.
