Preying:
This photograph fascinates me. Usually Pinguicula capture prey in a spectrum of sizes ranging from small things to the occasional large prey item. Meanwhile, this plant is covered almost exclusively with large flies. I wonder why? Is it that since these plants are in exposed conditions, that only strong flying insects can negotiate the wind currents to become stuck to the plants?
