Sundews:
Did I mention the sundews? I found two species: Drosera capillaris (above) and Drosera intermedia. Unlike the notoriously naughty and plastic Florida specimens, the North Carolinian Drosera capillaris plants are very well behaved and did not mimic the other species.

But alas, no Dionaea. So I jumped into my car and headed to the next site.
