The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

A Shadow over North Carolina

Return to the Trip Overview

Ta Da!
Ah, a couple of Venus Flytraps! What a relief! (I had already been imagining how I would try to explain it if I was unable to find any Dionaea on this trip.) Not the most beautiful of plants, but still, they were my first Flytraps for the trip. Now I could relax! These are white-bread plants--a little reddish coloration, but nothing really remarkable.

There's some Drosera capillaris in there, too.
