The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Southern Spain in 2011

Return to the Trip Overview

Wind:
I was in a real conflict. I was finally here at this great site, but the photography was terrible. The intense, glaring, overhead sun resulted in nasty, contrasty images. The heavy, gusty wind tended to cause toxic image blur in any exposures longer than about 1/60 sec.

I worked on photographing what I could; on the subjects at hand that interested me. These attractive skeletons of dead plants were largely immune to the blustery wind, so I photographed them for a while.

These plant skeletons have the same sort of appeal as do cactus skeletons.
