Q: About Utricularia subgenus Utricularia section Candollea
A: Not much is known about the species in this section. The entire inflorescence is
covered with glandular (carnivorous?) hairs.
Utricularia podadena
This plant is only known from two botanical collections. It may be extinct
because the Malawi site where it was originally collected has been converted into agriculture. I do not know about the
Mozambique site.
