Closer view:
I have grown Byblis gigantea to flowering, and learned that it was important to use
a well-drained mix, and to avoid letting the plant's crown stay too wet. In many ways, I found
it survived best when managed only a little moister than you might treat Drosophyllum.
Compare those horticultural lessons with these field observations of plants living in seasonally submerged
conditions. They seem completely at odds. Isn't that interesting!
