Arrival:
Fast forward immediately to the first site
I visited in the mountains of North Carolina. This site is on the
property of a sort of retreat/resort facility. Fortunately, the fine
folks running the facility have recognized the value of their rare
Sarracenia jonesii, and so have created a boardwalk past the small
population of plants so their guests can enjoy them without
disturbing them. These plants look pretty happy, although they are
poking through a lot of other vegetation.
(No, the resort is not set up for botanical day visitors.)
