Intact pitcher:
One part of the pitcher plant community grew along a strip of dry, traversible rock, so I was able to get right up to the
plants without fear of damaging them (or myself). The pitcher above is reasonably intact, despite being from the previous
season.
A diagnostic feature of Sarracenia jonesii is that the pitcher diameter is greater along the top 1/3 of the tube.
As you can see here, the feature can be very subtle. Look at the
previous images (and the ones to follow) with this in mind.
