The scary part!
To explore the steeper part of the cataract bog I retied the rope to a different tree, then threaded my way through the brush to
reach a suitable launch point onto the rock face.
I wonder if you can possibly understand how extremely slippery that muddy, algae-coated rock surface is? Positioning myself
on the slimy surface, wedging the tripod into place, composing suitable photographs, all while maintaining a grip on the
rock and tearing open my knees on the gritty granite surface was the hardest photography I've ever done.
(Thanks to Jim for letting me display this photograph that he took.)
