The back portion of the Watson property has a different character. It is a little more sandy,
a little more drained. Still pitcher plants
poked up here and
there.
Here is a nice, well-behaved Drosera capillaris--it is not being "long-leaved" or
otherwise peculiar. I was pleased to see this, because lately I have been getting frustrated by the antics
of Drosera capillaris in the Gulf Coast, and didn't really feel in the mood for wondering if these
were hybrids or members of some
crypto-species. It was plain old Drosera capillaris, without any controversial elements!
Thank God. It was hot, and I just wanted to enjoy myself.
