Anemic stars
H-R diagram
In making this H-R diagram, emission line
stars are plotted separately from absorption line stars. Anemic stars,
which are absorption line stars with unexpectedly narrow lines, are farther
from the main sequence line than the quiescent stars are. The
spectral definitions of quiescent, anemic, and emission have significance
in the photometric data as well. Some emission line stars showed infrared
excesses and were modelled as systems of stars with disks.
