Cattle grazing and misplaced priorities (v2.0)

The cow trails led directly through my research area. Did you notice
on the last several photographs any of my flagged plants? No! Because
the cows ate the entire experiment---65 plants worth of labels, bags,
and metal wiring. All gone! Well, all except for about three plants I
was able to salvage (two are visible in this photo).
Scientifically, this tiny remnant of my experiment is useless.
As usual, the next photo helps interpret this one.
