A new genus:
But my first impression was wrong. This was Byblis: Byblis gigantea to be exact!!!!

Oh boy! There is a very limited number of times that one may see for the first time in the wild, not just a species, but a new genus of carnivorous plant! I had never seen Byblis in the wild before, so I had no problems whooping with so much delight that I imagine the cockatoos for kilometers around took off in alarm.

Incidentally, before you judge me poorly for thinking of Drosera filiformis, consider this image from North Carolina!
