Long-leaved
Finished with the orchid, I amused myself by photographing these strange little sundews---the fabled "long-leaf" Drosera capillaris.

Aren't these plants strange? In case you think these might be abnormal specimens, here are a few more plants that show the same characteristics.

I rush to point out the Utricularia leaves visible in the muck. Without flowers present, and no field microscope at hand to examine bladders I was unable to determine the species--but the short list of possibilities was U. juncea, U. cornuta, or U. subulata. We saw the occasional U. cornuta flower in the area that day.
