My photography
My photographic work is almost exclusively botanical. I concentrate on
photographing aspects of carnivorous plants and invasive wildland weeds.
Much of my work is in the macro range, from 0.1 to 4.0 ×
magnification.
A comprehensive collection of my photographs of carnivorous plants and invasive species are on-line
(in low-resolution web format) at the virtual museum,
Galleria Carnivora. Many of these appeared
in my books,
Growing Carnivorous Plants (Timber Press, 2006), and Monster Plants (Scholastic, 2010).
Most of my clients are
textbooks, magazines, newspapers, and museums.
