The Carnivorous Plant FAQ v. 12

Q: Catopsis: the species

A: There are about twenty species of Catopsis, but only Catopsis berteroniana is currently suspected of being carnivorous. There is no significant, reported variation in the species other than the observation that plants in hot and dry areas average a smaller maximum size than plants in cooler, moister climes.

Molecular research suggests that the genus Catopsis is probably a monophyletic entity, although not many species were included in the analysis.
