This is the FAQ Library, and it is where I store all sorts of interesting goodies that are too large to be dropped into the FAQ loop, or otherwise just don't make sense there. Take a look at the nice stuff I have for you!

Botanical gardens with carnivorous plants
This is a very non-exhaustive list of places where you can see carnivorous plants in cultivation.

Botanical Latin
Feeling insecure about your Latin pronunciation? Take a look at what Kay Klier has to say about this non-dead language discussion.

Ivo Koudela's list of old carnivorous plant books
Ivo compiled a list of all the carnivorous plant books published before 2007. This does not include books from the more recent explosion of publications, but is complete for literature from 2007 and earlier. Ivo's list is prepared in ascii, it is simplest for me to just attach it pre-formatted.

Nepenthes clipeata Survival Program
The description of an ex situ conservation plan for this extremely rare species. An interesting idea I tried when I was Director of Conservation for the ICPS, but it just didn't take off. Oh well--I tried.

Terrarium building
It is easy to whip together a little terrarium made out of clear plastic sheeting. But if you want to make a sturdier tank to grow lots of plants, it takes a little more work. Here are my building instructions on my ideal terrarium.

Tissue culture basics
I wrote this for a book on carnivorous plants, but cut it from the text because I didn't have the room. But this is filled with so much good information, why not post it here for your benefit?

Darlingtonia cooling box
Darlingtonia may require a cool root system in order to thrive. I describe here an interesting design for a growing system that may keep your plant's root system comfy and cool.
