Other Trek footwear
While I'm primarily interested in footwear for my own uniforms, which are mostly Starfleet, and mostly from the Enterprise to Lower Decks eras, colleague Cyril A. Jaquel is an unstoppable force of inquiry, who has been researching other boots and footwear, nearly endlessly. To honor his work, I will list his finds, in no particular order. Enjoy!Booker's Boots (Discovery)
The boots that Booker wore were DEMOBAZA Cabin Boots, listing for about 550 Euros. (Purchase link here)![](Bookers-boots-01.jpg)

Confederation Boots (Picard)
The boots worn by the Confederation goons were apparently from the German police, and were labelled as German Bundeswehr Leather Military Police Motorcycle Jackboots.![](Confederation-boots-01.jpg)

Changelings (Picard)
The boots worn by Vadic's changeling associates appear to be slightly modified Pathfinder Boots, built by Verillas. (As of this writing, available for $279.)![](Picard-changelings-01.jpg)

Klingons (Star Trek: Into Darkness)
The nifty footwear sported by at least some of the Klingons in this flick were made by Trippen, specifically a model called Bubble. (You will of course recall that Trippen made the Federation boots seen in Star Trek Beyond. (As of this writing, Trippen can make these boots custom .)![](STID-klingon-01.jpg)
Kelvin Crew Boots (ST: 2009)
A little further off the beaten path, Cyril Jaquel found some boots from the Kelvin crew, from ST: 2009. These are the crew members who lasted for just a few minutes at the beginning of the movie.Taken from pages on propstore.com, they had rather sleek and uncomplicated uniforms.
![](kelvin-crewman-ref01.jpg)
Regardless of gender, all the crew wore the same boots. Looking through the auction images you can see a few that show that these are SeaSoft Ti Stealth Dive Boots. Can you imagine working all day, on a hot set, wearing dive boots? Imagine how slippery and slimy they had to be after just an hour of work? Sheesh.
I've bought pairs of the dive boots for both me and the missus. They fit true to size, and while I expect to use them mostly when I'm kayaking or tidepooling, I'll be able to secretly enjoy the fact that I'm wearing Trek-gear at the same time!
Looking through the propstoreauction.com's listings, I note that they sometimes said that the Kelvin uniforms used the Puma Moto's, described below.

They are currently (2022) available online for about US$100-120.
Starfleet Cadet Boots (ST: 2009)
In early scenes of ST: 2009, we see the red uniforms for the cadets. In usual now-fashion, Abrams selected contemporary slouchy boots with lots of straps and metal work for the women's uniforms...![](ST2009-cadet-01.jpg)
In case you're scratching your head, trying to remember...maybe this will help:

Like I said, lot of straps and metalwork:

It turns out that these are inexpensive, faux leather slouchy boots made by Shiekh, model "Womens Issac-H" in black. While out of stock, they originally were selling for only about $50. I can't find any for sale anywhere, in 2022, so I suspect they probably did not wear for long.

Men's cadet uniforms are a bit more fluid in identification. On Facebook, a person going by the name "Alter Saber" mentioned that he was on set for ST2009 as a cadet, and his boots were Clarks muckers, model Kamet. The boots were dyed black to cover the stitching and red details, which you can see below. The boots appear only fleetingly on screen, for example by grey-uniformed characters on the steps of Starfleet Academy--around time point 0:29:37 of the film.

Meanwhile, prop auction photos showed the men's cadet uniforms paired with Puma Motos or the SeaSoft dive boots, so it is probably up to you and your tastes.
Puma Motos (Into Darkness)
By the time they got around to making Into Darkness, I think that the DKNY Rebels were no longer readily available. I've heard that many of the non-lead actors were switched to other shoes. In an auction for props from this movie (below) you can see they are of a completely different build.![](STID-01.jpg)

Cyril Jaquel spent some time researching these and determined that they are Pumas, but exactly what model is unclear. Among other things, it appears they've removed the laces, and possibly dyed the stitching black. (The best matches of retail models have white stitching.) The Puma "Moto 500 midcut" appears to be the closest match, if they are not indeed the exact match (after being colored uniformly black and the laces removed).

Enterprise Loader (Into Darkness)
Continuing in the path of obscure Kelvin timeline footwear, here are some images of crew that were described as Enterprise Loaders.![](STID-loader-01.jpg)
![](STID-loader-02.jpg)
Surprisingly, these are really quite mainstream Clarks brand muckers, possibly Desoto or Kamet (see comments above, for men's cadet uniforms). No longer being produced, these boots were basic waterproof work shoes. Images of a used pair show the details. It looks like the ones used onscreen were dyed black, to get rid of the white stitching and perhaps red detailing near the heels.

Vengeance Boots (Into Darkness)
![](vengeance-ref01.jpg)
Cyril Jaquel also tracked down the boots of the crew on the Vengeance. As you'd expect, these are particularly heavy-duty boots. Here are some views from an auction on propstoreauction.com. Documentation on the auction web site noted that the boots were "customized black leather Alpinestars boots with gray rubber details and a fastening strip closure."
![](vengeance-ref02.jpg)
![](vengeance-ref03.jpg)
After some searching, Cyril nailed these boots as Roam Waterproof boots, 2011 version. I don't see what the customizations were. Thoughts?
![](vengeance-roam01.jpg)
OK, here's an odd one, directly from Cyril's research work... Shran, who of all the characters played by the amazing Jeffrey Coombs, is my favorite, was portrayed in one of those ultra-realistic EXO figures. Cyril used that to research Shran's boots...
